For 47 years, I had the privilege of calling Cynthia Lynch my mother. She was not only my mother, she was my best friend and teacher. My daughter, Kayla was blessed to have a grandma that exemplified strength, compassion, and perseverance and embodied our core values.

On January 11, 2022, my beautiful mom gained her wings after a prolonged battle with chronic lung disease and illness. Throughout her journey and declining health, her care needs demanded 24/7 total care. Providing this level of care presented many challenges that were only exacerbated by the impact of the pandemic however it was her desire to remain home for as long as possible. We tried our very best to honor those wishes until she gained her wings.

Despite having approval for 8 hours a week assistance from an outside care-giving agency, we simply could not find well-trained caregivers to handle her care needs. Nursing homes and home care agencies were struggling to find well-trained caregivers. Lack of staffing greatly impacted the care loved ones were receiving in both facility and home-based care settings. Kayla and I vowed to create change in a broken system so that other families do not face the challenges we did. In April 2022, Kayla and I put in motion plans to build something in honor of this incredible force in our lives. 

As many of you know, my passion for education especially healthcare related vocational education fueled my journey into nursing but it wasn’t until spending the last 9 years providing full-time care for my mom that I could fully appreciate the true need for quality, competent and compassionate caregivers especially in entry-level positions. The need is even greater since Covid and the effects it has had on healthcare staffing.  Mom was forever the knowledge seeker and problem solver, so I got those traits honestly. She believed if you see a problem, don’t wait for others to fix it, be part of the solution. 

With that said, in June, Kayla and I secured a location to serve as our training facility. After several weeks of renovations and putting together the infrastructure of our school, creating curriculum, working on the workflow and necessary documents to run our programs, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that under our business, Cadence Training Solutions, we have added another division to our training company called Cadence Healthcare Training Solutions. 

CHTS will offer healthcare related vocational programs and professional development. In September, we submitted our final paperwork to the Indiana State Department of Health to seek approval to offer a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program. On October 20, 2022, we received our state approval! Cadence Healthcare Training Solutions is soooo proud to announce our first Certified Nurse Aide Training Course will be offered beginning February 2023!!!!!!  

There has been a lot of signs from mom along this journey and a huge amount of faith and prayer have been expressed to bring this to fruition. Thank you to those that have weighed in on this venture and supported our vision. So thankful for the many answered prayers along the way.
